Lama
Born in Beirut, Lama's career started at the age of 14 when she won the Australian Songwriters Association's, National Songwriting Award in the 16 years and under category, for her composition 'No Tomorrow'. Lama had another song placed in the top 3 and then repeated this success the following year, taking first place with 'Love is Near'.
Most recently, Lama has had her self penned song 'Wounds' chosen to feature on Chantelle Redman's debut album.
A skilled singer, Lama was awarded 'Outstanding Vocalist' in 2007, by a panel of industry professionals at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, where she completed a diploma in vocals.
As a pop-rock artist, Lama is a versatile, energetic and charismatic performer. Her music varies from piano ballads to riff driven rock songs, tackling themes as varied as love, self development and politics.
Lama is a gifted singer and songwriter. Crafting her songs on acoustic guitar and piano, Lama is capable of writing and singing songs that cross genres to mix subtle elements of rock, pop, soul, country and r&b.
